The Chapelton Wine School is structured as a multi-session program, typically meeting once per month. Each session builds on the last, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of wine through guided tastings, discussion, and hands-on learning.

Listed below is a sample schedule intended to illustrate the structure and flow of the Chapelton Wine School experience.

Track 1

Viticulture | March-July

In the first track, dive deep into the essentials of viticulture. Through hands-on vineyard work, you’ll gain practical knowledge of grape growing, from planting the vines to the excitement of the final harvest. Whether you’re new to viticulture or looking to refine your skills, this track provides the foundation for understanding the art of grape growing.

March: Basics of Planting & Introduction to Viticulture

April: Understanding Terroir and Growing Systems

May: Vineyard Management & Terroir Exploration

June: Pre-Harvest Techniques & Berry Sampling

July: Harvest Day Experience & Group Participation

Track 2

Winemaking | July-November

Building on your viticulture experience, the second track focuses on the fascinating world of winemaking. Learn every step of the process from the moment the grapes are harvested to the final bottling. Explore the intricate stages of fermentation, aging, and beyond, as you uncover the techniques that transform grapes into exceptional wine.

August: White Wine – From Racking to Bottling

September: Red Wine – Production & Advanced Techniques

October: Barrels & Vessels – Exploring Aging Methods

November: Bottling & Labels – Navigating Wine Label Laws
