We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. You may be able to manage non-essential cookies through the cookie preference tool displayed on our website. You can also adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect website functionality. Where required by applicable law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals and provide a method to opt out of personal-data processing for targeted advertising or a legally defined sale or sharing of personal information.

A browser “Do Not Track” setting is not the same as a legally recognized opt-out preference signal. Because there is no uniform industry response to Do Not Track, our Services may not respond to that setting unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers that operate or support our website, ecommerce, CRM, payments, reservations, age verification, compliance, shipping, email, analytics, advertising, security, customer service, accounting, and other business functions.
  • Carriers, fulfillment providers, and recipients necessary to complete a shipment, pickup, delivery, return, or gift requested by you.
  • Business and marketing partners when you request or authorize an interaction, promotion, benefit, or jointly offered experience.
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or misuse, or respond to legal process.
  • Professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and financing sources as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the business.
  • A buyer, investor, lender, or successor in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business or assets.
  • Other parties with your direction, consent, or as otherwise disclosed when information is collected.
7. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly and may treat certain disclosures of cookie identifiers, IP addresses, or online activity to advertising partners as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. To the extent we engage in that activity, you may opt out through the website’s cookie preference tool or by contacting us as described in Section 10.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18 for targeted advertising. We do not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data.

8. Your Communication Choices
  • Email marketing: Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. You may still receive non-promotional messages about transactions, reservations, memberships, security, or our ongoing relationship.
  • Text messages: If you separately consent to marketing texts, follow the opt-out instructions in the message. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
  • Account information: Sign in to your account or contact us to update certain details.
  • Cookies and targeted advertising: Use the website cookie preference tool, recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable, or the request method below.
9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information and access or obtain a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete certain personal information.
  • Obtain certain information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, or certain profiling.
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Not receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
  • California residents may also request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, business or commercial purposes, categories disclosed for business purposes, and categories sold or shared, if any. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing use without your consent.
10. Privacy Requests, Verification, and Appeals

To submit a privacy request, email info@chapeltonvineyards.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” call 979-330-7641, or write to the address in Section 16. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. You do not need to create an account to make a request.

We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will use personal information submitted with a request only to verify and respond to it. If an authorized agent submits a request, we may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly, as permitted by law.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing info@chapeltonvineyards.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” and explaining why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and, if an appeal is denied, provide information about any further complaint process that applies.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, satisfy alcohol, tax, accounting, payment, shipping, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the relationship, operational needs, and applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it.

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly sell alcohol to anyone under 21, and alcohol orders and deliveries are subject to age and identity verification.

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services, including ecommerce, payment, reservation, shipping, social-media, and map providers.

Their privacy policies govern information they collect directly. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide any additional notice required by law.

Your continued use of the Services after an update is subject to the revised Policy, but we will obtain consent where required for a materially different use of previously collected personal information.
